工作组简介
平台管理组件互联（PMCI）工作组定义标注以解决“盒内”通信及平台管理子系统组件之间的功能性接口问题。
工作组制定了DMTF的平台管理标准，提供了一组详细、通用的架构，以改进管理子系统组件之间通信。平台管理标准的卷1和卷2已经被采用及被美国国家标准协会（ANSI）国际信息技术标准委员会（INCITS）发布为编号为INCITS 495-2012的标准。
当操作系统不可用时（例如：当系统启动时，在操作系统加载之前，或者当操作系统无法运行时），激活监控和对系统的控制。这些标准允许供应商为服务器、客户机及移动系统设计可管理的硬件，并且它们之间不共享平台管理子系统的设计和组件。
DMTF的PMCI标准及技术与其公共信息模型（CIM）配置是互补的。另外，在DMTF其他工作组（例如：服务器桌面移动平台（SDMP）工作组）中定义的远程访问协议也是如此。
