Please Note: The DMTF group formerly known as the Scalable Platforms Management Forum (SPMF) has been renamed the Redfish Forum.
DMTF’s innovative Redfish standard continues its fast progression, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Scalable Platforms Management Forum (SPMF). To date, Redfish has focused on defining a TCP/IP-based out-of-band interface between a client and a management controller.
DMTF will host its Alliance Partner Technical Symposium (APTS) from July 24-28 in Portland, Oregon. Hosted in partnership with longstanding alliance partner, Storage Network Industry Association (SNIA), the symposium includes meetings focused on technical topics and addresses the technical works of interest of DMTF’s alliance partners. Click here to register today!
The work of the DMTF is funded through membership dues that are among the most cost effective in the industry, and current member companies will receive renewal invoices in late February for the upcoming membership year (which runs April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018). Your company’s billing contact will receive the invoice.
The DMTF’s Common Information Model (CIM) standard is widely used to provide a common definition of management information for systems, networks, applications and services. The latest update, version 2.48, is now available and continues the DMTF’s commitment to releasing a new version of the CIM Schema every four months.
The DMTF’s Platform Management Components Intercommunication (PMCI) Working Group defines standards to address “inside the box” communication and functional interfaces between the components of the platform management subsystem.
