DMTF to present Redfish at OFIWG Meeting

Jeff Hilland, DMTF president, will present the latest Redfish® developments at an upcoming Open Fabrics Alliance Working Group meeting. The core mission of the Open Fabrics Alliance (OFA) is to accelerate the development and adoption of advanced fabrics. Recognizing that fabric management is a core element of any fabric architecture, the two groups will also explore the possibility of future engagement focused on fabric management.

New Redfish Release 2019.3 Adds SNMP and SMTP Support

DMTF’s Redfish®, Release 2019.3, is now available for public download. Designed to deliver simple and secure management for hybrid IT and the Software Defined Data Center (SDDC), the latest release of the Redfish standard includes 14 schema updates and additional developer resources.

DMTF will be at SC19, November 18-21, as an exhibitor. If you’ll be at the event, come visit with DMTF’s Redfish Forum, the developers of Redfish, in booth #2247 at the Colorado Convention Center in downtown Denver. 

Executives and Forum representatives will be on hand to speak with attendees about the standard and how Redfish delivers simple and secure management for converged, hybrid IT and the Software Defined Data Center (SDDC).

DMTF and MIPI Alliance to Collaborate on Security

DMTF and MIPI Alliance have agreed to collaborate on DMTF’s Security Protocol and Data Model (SPDM) standards. MIPI will evaluate and provide feedback on SPDM standards and use cases applicable to devices, which potentially could support MIPI security specifications.

DMTF Releases SMBIOS 3.3

DMTF has released Version 3.3 of the System Management BIOS (SMBIOS) Reference Specification, the premier standard for delivering management information via system firmware. Since its first release in 1995, the widely implemented SMBIOS standard has simplified the management of more than two billion client and server systems.

DMTF Releases New WIP Update to Its Security Protocol and Data Model (SPDM) Specification

DMTF’s Security Protocol and Data Model (SPDM) Specification, Release 0.95, is now available for public download as a Work in Progress (WIP). This specification – developed by DMTF’s Platform Management Components Intercommunication (PMCI) Security Task Force – continues to incorporate the input of the organization’s Alliance Partners to help align component authentication and firmware integrity across the industry.
