Keynote Presentations

Keynotes will be held from 8:00am to 8:50am Pacific Time Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

  • SNIA
"Trends in Storage and Data: New Directions for Industry Standards"
Listen to the audio recording of the keynote presentation

With a rapidly changing environment and an increasing variety of options, managing both data and storage systems is an increasingly complex proposition. Richelle Ahlvers, SNIA Vice Chair, will look at some of the key recent and emerging technologies in storage and data. She will also talk about how SNIA is adapting to work across increasingly data-centric technologies, and talk about how SNIA is not only working to deliver education and new standards, but partnering with other industry consortiums, and open communities to work together to accelerate adoption of these new technologies.
  • DMTF
    "Manage Everything DMTF way"
View the recording of the keynote presentation

DMTF has evolved from its roots into desktop management to mobile, server, data center, and cloud infrastructure management. DMTF has developed a core set of standards that are widely used and deployed in the industry. These standards have enabled the industry to manage everything in the above mentioned infrastructures. In this keynote, we will provide an overview of the DMTF and discuss three important and active DMTF standards: Redfish, PMCI, and SPDM in detail.
  • UCIe
"Standards-Based Management and Security for an Open Ecosystem of Chiplets"

UCIe™ — Universal Chiplet Interconnect Express™ — is an open industry standard that fosters an open chiplet ecosystem by offering high-bandwidth, low-latency, power-efficient, and cost-effective on-package connectivity between chiplets. This introduces a range of new management and security challenges. Richelle Ahlvers, Intel, will provide an overview of UCIe and discuss how the UCIe Consortium is looking at developing a standards-based management approach to address manageability and security.
