DASH Desktop and Mobile Architecture for System Hardware
DMTF’s Desktop and mobile Architecture for System Hardware (DASH) Standard is a suite of specifications that takes full advantage of DMTF’s Web Services for Management (WS-Management) specification – delivering standards-based web services management for desktop and mobile client systems. Through DASH, DMTF provides the next generation of standards for secure out-of-band and remote management of desktop and mobile systems.
DASH provides support for the redirection of KVM (Keyboard, Video and Mouse) and text consoles, as well as USB and media, and supports the management of software updates, BIOS (Basic Input Output System), batteries, NIC (Network Interface Card), MAC and IP addresses, as well as DNS and DHCP configuration. DASH specifications also address operating system status, opaque data management, and more.
DMTF welcomes feedback on our standards, but requires that individuals submitting comments first agree to our Feedback Policy.

- Work on the DASH standard takes place in the CIM Profiles for Platforms and Services Working Group (CPPSWG). Learn more and join DMTF to participate.
- DMTF's System Management Forum (SMF) develops and implements programs for verifying compliance of software and hardware that implements DASH and SMASH. Join DMTF and the SMF to help shape the future of systems management in the data center.
