DMTF Security Profile Achieves ANSI Adoption
DMTF’s Simple Identity Management Profile (DSP1034) has been adopted by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) International Committee for Information Technology Standards (INCITS). Published as Information Technology - Management of Security Credentials (INCITS 539-2016), this is the latest milestone in the continued international utilization of DMTF standards.
The Simple Identity Management Profile includes the information needed to describe management of user accounts when using the DMTF’s Common Information Model (CIM). Developed by multiple DMTF Working Groups, it provides the ability to manage local accounts on a system, and to represent the local system's view of a principal that is authenticated through a third-party authentication service.
