Understand Redfish Tasks with New Video Tutorial

Posted on Thu, 10/18/2018 - 09:34

A new installment of the DMTF’s popular “Redfish® School” YouTube series is now available, with the latest video addressing Redfish Tasks. A Task in Redfish is any asynchronous operation.

Most operations in Redfish are synchronous and generate a fast response. For those operations that take longer (for example, a firmware update), Redfish uses Tasks. This new mini-tutorial video offers a Task Resource Overview, review of the Task Service Model Map, and example uses.

All “Redfish School” mini-tutorials and videos can be viewed on the Redfish webinars page on the Redfish Developer Hub. In addition, the full library of DMTF videos is available on the Webinars page in the DMTF website’s Education section.

These videos are also available directly on DMTF's YouTube channel, so don’t miss out when we post something new – click here to subscribe to our YouTube channel today!
