DMTF Releases DASH Conformance Test Suite Update
Posted on Thu, 04/11/2019 - 09:45
Recently, the DMTF continued its ongoing dedication to management interoperability with the release of new versions of the Conformance Test Suite (CTS) for its Desktop and mobile Architecture for System Hardware (DASH) standard. DASH CTS 2018 is available and the registry is accepting submissions – view the products certified to date here.
Providing secure out-of-band and remote management of desktop and mobile systems using the Web Services for Management (WS-Management) standard, DASH addresses current requirements for managing modern hardware in a networked environment. The DASH CTS serves to improve interoperability by validating conforming implementations. DASH CTS 2018 offers significant speed and performance improvements, and the tool has been expanded to include more extensive testing of optional DASH features.
In the DASH Conformance Program companies self-test their implementations and submit digitally signed results to the DASH Conformance Program Administrator (an independent third party) for validation. Once validated, participants can have their submission information included in the DMTF Certification Registry. The registry has been enhanced to include previous versions of the DASH registries to include DASH CTS 1.0, DASH CTS 2016, and DASH CTS 2018.
