DMTF President to Present at the NIST Cloud Computing Forum & Workshop V

Join DMTF at the National Institute Standards and Technology (NIST) Cloud Computing Forum & Workshop V on June 5-7, 2012 at the Department of Commerce’s Herbert C. Hoover Building in Washington, D.C. The event will:

  • Calibrate the NIST Cloud Computing program and USG Cloud Computing Technology Roadmap initiative with external stakeholders;
  • Feature panels focusing on Federal and private sector topics of interest and showcase work completed through NIST chaired public working groups.

DMTF President Winston Bumpus will be participating in two panels at the event, including a session where representatives from major standard-developing organizations will tackle the question, “Cloud Computing Standards – Are There Too Many Cooks in the Kitchen?”

He will also participate in a focus session where cloud related efforts that are helping to advance progress toward meeting the USG Cloud Computing Technology Roadmap Requirements will be featured. Specifically, Winston will present the first requirement, international voluntary consensus based interoperability, portability and security standards.
