Please Note: The DMTF group formerly known as the Scalable Platforms Management Forum (SPMF) has been renamed the Redfish Forum.
Continuing its aggressive development schedule, DMTF’s recently announced Platform Management Components Intercommunication (PMCI) Security Task Force has published architecture details for its forthcoming security specification.
DMTF’s Redfish®, version 2018.3, is now available for public download, featuring 10 important new schemas and other significant updates. An API designed to deliver simple and secure management for hybrid IT and the Software Defined Data Center (SDDC), this release includes new versions of the Redfish schema and specification, as well as additional developer resources.
Every year in our December issue, we take the opportunity to pause and reflect on the last twelve months. As we wrap up another highly productive year for DMTF, I’m happy to highlight the vast list of accomplishments the organization achieved in 2018:
In the two latest installments of DMTF’s popular “Redfish® School” YouTube series, learn more about using Events in Redfish. In this two-part mini-tutorial, Part One provides an overview of Redfish Eventing, while Part Two details how Events and Messages were updated in Redfish 2018.2.
Each year, the DMTF Star Awards Program recognizes members who have demonstrated great value to the organization through the dedication of their time and efforts to advance DMTF standards and initiatives.
DMTF and MIPI Alliance have agreed to collaborate to help ensure the two organizations’ standards are coordinated and aligned. MIPI Alliance is a collaborative global organization serving industries that develop mobile and mobile-influenced devices.
DMTF will attend the SC18, November 11-15, as an exhibitor.
If you’ll be attending, come visit with executives and representatives of DMTF’s Redfish® Forum (formerly known as the Scalable Platforms Management Forum, or SPMF), the developers of Redfish®, in booth #216 at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center. Experts will be available to talk about Redfish® and other DMTF standards. We hope to see you there!
With an aggressive development schedule, DMTF’s recently announced Platform Management Components Intercommunication (PMCI) Security Task Force has published its plans and scope of work. The group intends to produce a new PMCI security specification in the next three months.
