DMI 2.0s Specification

The DMI 2.0s specification combines the original DMI 2.0 specification, the DMI 2.0 Errata #1, and the security extensions into an extended DMI 2.0 specification (DMI 2.0s). DMI 2.0s is an extension of the DMI 2.0 specification defining mechanisms to control local and remote access to the DMI interfaces. The DMI 2.0s specification was created to define standard interfaces to secure the interaction between the DMI Service Provider, management applications and component instrumentation. DMI 2.0s adds a security feature to the DMI 2.0 specification, but does not replace or obsolete it. DMI 2.0s protects management information from unauthorized access over the network. Systems currently using DMI 2.0 can be upgraded to utilize DMI 2.0s and it can be installed on new systems.

The DMI v2.0.1s specification corrects a minor BNF error and editing/formatting issues in the document.
